Gabcast! Over in the Medow #1
This is a Pod Cast of me reading the children's book "Over in the Meadow." Pod Cast is basically an audio recording of something. This technology could be useful, specifically for teachers, if you are going over something in class and want to make sure you record it so that students can later go and listen to it again for review. It can also be good for teachers if you are having an interview with someone that you would like to have as a guest speaker in the class room but wouldn't be able to show up. You can do the interview at a convenient time for the speaker and then record it and play it back for the students in the classroom. I used "Gab Cast." This is a pretty user friendly sight. I liked it because you can use your phone and don't need a microphone on your computer to do it. One suggestion I have is pay attention to what you need to do to end your recording. I had to set up another account because I wasn't paying attention to what i needed to do so when i was done I just hung up and wasted the minutes.

I really enjoyed listening to you podcast! What a great idea to read a story! Plus, it was a really cute story! Thank you for sharing this with all of us! As teachers, we are all going to be reading stories to our students. It was neat that you chose to do this and it is something I never even thought about. Also, I like how you described "Gab Cast." ReplyDeleteI love that story!! Last year when I was cadet teaching I read that book to my first graders. They loved it!! At first I was unsure what to do for my Pod Cast but listening to yours helped! THANKS!! Kellie

ReplyDeleteGreat idea!!! I tried this one myself.. had to delete my first one too.. lol. I thought you could delete and re-record. Now, I cant figure out how to get it onto my blog, can you help me?? =)
ReplyDeleteHey Stacy! I liked your idea to read a story as your podcast- and also thought it was smart to include a picture of the book you read from. I had a hard time hearing you at the beginning, even with my volume all the way up. But... I am listening on my netbook, which is a little quieter than my home computer, so I'm not sure if it was on my end or not. I heard you fine toward the middle and end. Great job!

Great job on your Podcast! What a great idea to read a story! I have never heard that one before...It was a nice story. I enjoyed listening to it! Also, great idea about recording a guest speaker that is unable to show up! :)
